Coming together is a beginning,
Keeping together is progress,
Working together is success.

Dear friends and members,

I would like to take the opportunity and share with you all my feelings and the plans for the future:

“I accept the result of the elections with gratitude, hoping that, under Providence, I shall be able to execute the duties of the President of the World MuayThai Federation as a trust for the benefit of all its members and the sport of MuayThai.”

I do not deem it necessary to enter upon any extended examination of the declarations made by the congress. The resolutions are in accord with my views, and I heartily concur in the principles they announce and promote.

Let’s not forget that the very essence of MuayThai as a sport and discipline has it’s very roots and being an integral part of the ancient Thai cultural heritage with a rich history dating back to the Kingdoms of Ayudhya and Sukhotai, integrating everyday life values like friendship, fair play, respect and family to be able to form and teach great sportsman, individuals, citizens of a twenty-first century modern society.

Before returning to my duties, I wish to all the athletes, coaches, officials and members to have the strength, courage and determination to succeed in their efforts to continually promote, train and educate the public and their members with the same determination and support they have done in the past, celebrating in the spirit and core values of MuayThai as a great force for change and inspiration.

Thanking you,
Yours sincerely,
LT. GEN Akachai Chantosa
President, World MuayThai Federation (WMF)
